great place and wonderful dinner. we had the most praised menu 3 Lobster dishes plus cheese and souffle with a bottle of chablis 1er cru. it was a bill of 300 eur for 2, but it really worth as the taste and the creativity. was amazing. View all feedback.
What Lucas Julien doesn't like about La Gouesnière:
Classy restaurant. Very nice room. The food is very average, you can get the same quality food in many other places and much cheaper. Both waitresses are young, very unprofessional. We won't come back to this restaurant. View all feedback.
1st experience in this restaurant for Christmas Eve. A unique menu. I went out with a mixed feeling. There is obviously nothing to say about the quality of the dishes served and the perfect kitchen. But I was surprised by the associations in my opinion not relevant as the poultry filled with blue lobster. The lobster flavor was completely masked by poultry. We really think the goal was to put the lobster on the menu. Even for mustard cheese truffled with pears. I don't think so. The dessert also disappointed me, not by its taste (the logs were excellent) but by its presentation, a simple slice served in the plate. I also found the drinks a little expensive for the young wine, except the Sauternes. In summary, a good cuisine but a doubtful choice
Extremely disappointed for several reasons 1. It was pretty cold in the restaurant at night and some people had to keep their coat all night 2. Servers were inexperienced and not "chaud/chaleaureux" 3. But the most disappointing is that the meat (which was cooked for 36 hours) was extremely dry (it should melt in the mouth) and almost not eatable, and when we spoke to the waitress in a very polite and gentle way, it just said 'OK' and we never saw it again. Not even a word like we're sorry or we'll talk about it with the leader. 4. In the end, we paid too much for what we ate and the service we have. This does not deserve a Michelin star, but rather a star "google magazine," I see that there is a doubt about the authenticity of this criticism. We had dinner on 10/12/2021. It is strange that you now answer that you would have increased the heating and that you care about it, because when we said that some foods were not going, no one was worried, listened and answered. We were left literally and frozen in the cold. (Original opinion) Extremely disappointed and this for several reasons 1. Friendly, professional and distinguished staff... a real pleasure. The epicurean menu was a delight more than appreciated... to discover with curiosity. We'll come back with joy. Thank you.
An excellent menu, a small care service, a small cold atmosphere
Very good meal but a little sad atmosphere because few people for lunch. This situation already existed before.
