Come to relax, come with friends, come to drink if you wish, come to get good food. This is not a place to be in a hurry. I always look forward to dinner here. Staff is great and good in English. Servings are large! Price is reasonable. And yes, there are days that it is the only place open (unless you can/want to find the McDonald's out by the highway). What margo k doesn't like about CHEZ MARCO:
Not a lot to choose from tonight, so went here. It's friendly, not that inexpensive, and very popular with the locals. Two pressions, one warm goat cheese salad (uninspired): 20euro. View all feedback.

Stayed for one night in town and ended up at CHEZ MARCO since it seemed to be the only restaurant open on a Monday evening. The service was nice and friendly, giving us a great whine recommendation. Unfortunately the food especially considering its price was far from great. My haché steak for example was way undercooked and came with no sauce yet with fries (condiments were not offered). Long story short: The food was a flop. Considering all other positive reviews I have read about the restaurant I won't judge the general quality, but in our case, the chef definitely did not have his/her best moment...
With its warm lively and relaxed atmosphere it is a place for meeting friends and spending time together. The service is remarkably fast even when busy. Menu is not extensive but is varied with something for everyone. Good place to eat without spending a fortune.
I had the 1/2 pizza with salad, twice, and it was great both times. It was a lot of food, just right for me and a bit too much for my wife. If you want easy-going, fairly reasonable price, and a great meal, Chez Marco is the best in the area! Service was superb and friendly. Plenty of residents eat here--always a good sign--but there were others who were visitors like us. I managed easily and well with my limited French and some of the wait staff are very good in at least English and Spanish. There is a large, out-door area of tables. There also are 20-30 inside tables if you prefer indoors. One member of our group had a steak and thought it was fine. Pizza is the main food and they make a large variety of pizzas. There are other choices if you want to avoid pizza. Also, if you just want a beer or glass of wine while you sit, alone or with friends, Chez Marco is great. Check the hours of operation, but Chez Marco seemed to be the most dependably open restaurant in Saint Martin du Crau!
They've got something for everyone here. Lots going on and it's nice spot to have diner. Had the menu with hot cheese salad, moules frites, and fresh fruit. All prepared well and on the spot. We also tried the interesting curry and kebab pizza unique to France! Lovely meal where locals dine.
