A La Fourch'ete - Saint-Martin-d'Ary

Unfriendly and arrogant man who works there. Start talking about reservation, there was only one more couple in an almost empty restaurant. Pizza so so, bit tastless. Would not recommand this place, not a relaxed Vibe.

What a great place just closing when we arrived at1.40 pm tried his friends and couldn't find an alternative for us so agreed to stay open for superb food and hospitality

I ordered the entrecot and I may as well have eaten my shoe However the cappacio my wife had was good The kids meal though was crazy expensive when all they got was a pizza with only 2 pieces of meat on them and no bigger than a small plate The attitude of the waiter was appalling at first but he did give the kids a free toy at the end I've had a lot better but there is not much to choose from in the are

Interesting place. It 's part gift shop, part restaurant, part takeaway. The gift shop doesn 't get in the way I can see why a restaurant might want to operate a takeaway service but its a funny mix. On the evening we went, there were only 2 guys doing the whole service. They were efficient, they were cheerful, they were helpful, but we came away thinking they might be understaffed a 3rd person, say front of house, would have been useful. The guys were attending to the restaurant clientele but also to the takeaway service and the takeaway was busy. From their point of view that 's good, but from a seated diner it slows things down. Only 1 set meal a pizza meal. The rest was a la carte although interestingly most main meals came in 2 sizes, small large. We went large still had plenty of room for dessert. But going small reduces costs is particularly good for young teenagers who are past 'happy meals ' but not quite up to 'full meals ' and also for a more elderly clientele who 's appetite is not quite what it used to be. We did have wine, we did have coffee, we did have the large options, but the cost was relatively high. The restaurant is well laid out, the tables well set, the food is good. Yet somehow it fell short. Its the kind of place we 'll probably go back to but not next week but it wouldn 't be top of our list for taking visiting friends/family. its one of those strange mix of places that deserves better than a 3 star rating on here but struggles to get a 4. We were here for diner but the lunch menu looked quite good good value.

A local restaurant that the locals flock to as it is so good. It is the only restaurant in Saint Martin D'Ary. A typical Italian style menu but the pizzas are to die for with classic crispy thin bases and made with fresh ingredients. I will be visiting again when I return.
