Get the country fried steak. Won?t regret it. Pretty much the best we?ve ever had. Cooked to perfection, service was prompt and extremely friendly. Good portions, good prices! Definitely recommend! View all feedback.
What Malissa Taylor doesn't like about Timber Lodge Cafe:
Terrible. Waited 40 min for breakfast with only one table of 3 people ahead of us. Food was cold. Was charged $2.50 for bringing in my own cup of coffee (I'm on a special diet), when my husband was only charged $2.00 for the cup of coffee he had there. Was charged a surcharge of .25 per egg, when that's not listed in the menu price. Will not be going back View all feedback.
Great food and great service. Thank you for a fun lunch date with my husband. The staff is wonderful. The mango margarita…. Yum! The burgers were good. We will be back.
Great lil place for breakfast, food was delicious waitress was great and all the antiques were awesome to check out,its like a lil museum.
Would give zero stars if possible!!! Food was horrid, wait staff was very slow!
My two good friends and I came for breakfast. They're locals but it had been some time since they'd visited here to eat.Our server wasn't busy but neglected to set our place settings over napkins, instead, she left loose silverware on the bare table for us to sort out. Also, my order of biscuits and gravy with two eggs was terrible! The gravy looked and tasted like cheap canned chicken gravy with specks of rubbery meat. The biscuits didn't taste like they were fresh or even close to anything you could buy at the local market-very disappointing! My two friends had their regular breakfast of eggs hash browns and toast and weren't as upset as me by the quality of their orders. They did point out that the portions were way smaller than the prices! They both agreed that my breakfast order looked horrid. Also, our server never offered to bring us the interesting hot sauce options that sat in a basket by the back kitchen area. We are all hot sauce enthusiasts so it would have been good to try some of the different types with our breakfasts. To sum up, we were looking for a good local place for breakfast on our way back to my home in Coeur d'Alene. My breakfast of biscuits and gravy was extremely bad. I tend to judge a breakfast place by this dish. We all decided not to bring our business here again due to the mediocre service, poor quality of my dish, and small portions with big prices.
The Dirty Tots, and the The Lodge burger (elk Patty substitute) were exceptionally tasty. The waitress hustled the whole time we were there and did a fantastic job! We never had an empty drink cup!!!! And if you've never had fried Oreos, you've definitely gotta try them!!!!
