Auberge de Bréca - Saint-Lyphard

This is the third year we have been and it keeps getting better the food, ambience and service was excellent. Don't miss it especially on a nice day when you dine in the garden. Peter

What a surprise to find this gem by chance at the end of a county road, driving on a rainy day in the National Park which is also an marshes ecosystem wonder. The local typical house with straw roof hosts the well decorated restaurant with a touch of soft colors nothing too strong, looking like the living room of a small mansion. The owner is very welcoming and the waitress is a very nice person, busy, efficient and taking great care of the customer in a friendly way and all together very respectful. The menu offers a large choice, difficult to make up one's mind, and we really indulge ourselves with our orders. Interesting wine list and a gimmick: you may order the wine by 10cc glasses served by a technical process at the right temperature so that you can get through if any French Police DWI check, with 2 times 10 cc you should be ok. Wine list prices are reasonable as well as the courses menu or the package menu, I can even tell you I had the feeling of a very value lunch, a very good deal. Sometimes you do not expect much because you just get somewhere by chance and Bingo! that was the place to find to spend some good time.

Ce restaurant est attirant de par son cadre. En briaire.Côté restauration, c'est différent:Menu à 32 ,50 euros comprenant: 3 tranches de foie gras en entrée. Épaisseur totale des trois tranches: 6mm. Pas de quoi vraiment goûter.Pour la viande, le faux filet normalement saignant arrivé à point. C'est normal, comme le foie gras, celui ci était trop fin. Moins d'un cm. Il est difficile de saisir et de laisser saignant une viande si peu épaisse.Le dessert est il normal.Pour le prix d'un repas, nous aurions mieux manger à deux dans une cantine.

Bonjour,L'entrée de rillette de canard est bien le cabillaud extra, cependant nous avons attendu 1heure entre la fin de l'entrée et le plat, nous sommes donc repartis sans dessert et café. Le plat des enfants n'est vraiment pas top. Un peu de sauce sur le saumon serait mieux.

Nous venons une fois de plus dans ce restaurant que nous aimions beaucoup…….pas le bon jour peut-être……….à la carte, asperges et saumon insipides, turbot pareil.il restait des arêtes et nous avons frôlé l'accident avec la dame de 96 ans dont nous fêtions l 'anniversaire.J avais annoncé cet anniversaire en espérant une petite bougie……..que nenni!plus de 60 euros par personne…..nous allons attendre un peu avant de revenir!
