this is a great sports bar option, especially if they are a hockey fan. eating is solid and the service is good and plentiful bar seating. obviously a great place from a wild game, but we also liked it on a quiet day. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Tom Reid's Hockey City Pub:
I am so incredibly disappointed. I used to frequent Tom Reid’s for several years. The service back then was definitely 5 star. I knew all the bartenders and waitresses. I even knew Tom Reid’s himself, and the locals. I stopped by tonight with my sisters 8/20/22 (on a Saturday night) and the service was HORRIBLE! We had two different waitresses and the second one told us they were no longer serving. We were there at 1... View all feedback.
This place boasts some of the finest bartenders on West 7th. The atmosphere is lively, with sports always playing on the TVs. It's the ideal spot to catch any Wild game—whether for pre-game, during, or post-game celebrations. Plus, the menu features a variety of delicious food options, and the kitchen stays open late.
I don't often write reviews for bars and restaurants in Minnesota anymore, mainly because I moved away partly due to the lack of good places to eat and drink. However, I felt compelled to share my experience at Tom Reid's after visiting twice during a recent trip with friends. Here’s what I have to say: Tom Reid's offers the absolute best Bloody Mary I've ever had in the Twin Cities. This alone is a great reason to visit for their Sunday brunch, or for lunch on any other day, including Saturday. Their food and service are generally good, and the indoor/outdoor space is quite nice. The hockey theme is enjoyable without being too overwhelming. But honestly, make sure to come here for the Bloody Marys!
I come from a family that owns Mexican restaurants, so when I noticed the Taco Tuesday sign outside Tom Reid's Hockey City Pub, I decided to check it out. I was a bit worried at first, as the ambiance felt more like a hockey bar with country music playing in the background. I mentioned to the server that I was taking a risk by ordering tacos, but to my surprise, they turned out to be quite tasty. I had two al pastor tacos, which are difficult to get right, and theirs were decent. The chipotle chicken was a bit dry but still flavorful. The rice was what you’d typically expect at a hockey bar, but the beans were fantastic. The verde sauce was a home run as well. Overall, I enjoyed my meal very much. The service was above average too; the bartender noticed my drink was running low and came to refill it while my server was occupied. Since I'm just down the street, I now have a great spot for a quick taco fix whenever I'm craving them. I highly recommend Taco Tuesday at Tom Reid's Hockey City Pub!
It was crazy crowded because it was a home wild playoff game in the night we visited. so our server was very friendly and attentive to our requests. we had a few buffalo chicken wings for a foreplay snack. wings were good. tom reids has a great atmosphere if they do not make up the crowded conditions.
Great atmosphere, personable staff, and a variety of good music playing. We were going to go next door to eat and decided to go here instead. I'm happy we did. The food was great and the waffle fries are to-die-for!
