I came here with a friend after seeing a picture of the pasta con broccoli on the stlfoodies Instagram page. We decided to split the pasta con broccoli and the white sauce cavatelli (both dishes are vegetarian). The pasta con broccoli comes in a creamy tomato sauce that has so much flavor I think I could say it's my favorite pasta I've had here in Saint Louis! What 314 F doesn't like about Biggies:
One star for our most recent experience. (Usually it's worthy of 5 stars. I guess this place is so good and so busy that the business can choose to turn away to go orders, and in turn, people who are still choosing to patronize restaurants by carry out due to COVID concerns. It'll be a while before we go back, too bad. View all feedback.
Our niece introduced us to Biggie's Restaurant and Bar during our visit over Easter weekend. For 30 years, this family-owned and operated business has been run by 2 generations of the Preiss family. It was definitely worth the hour drive we made. Parking was easy with a lot behind the restaurant. We entered through the back door which led us through the enclosed patio. As we stepped into the restaurant the hostess stand was just inside. There were 5 of us so they sat us at a big, round table with elbow room. The restaurant consists of 3 large dining rooms with a bar area and enclosed patio. The restaurant has a rustic decor and laid-back atmosphere with the walls covered in photos and sports memorabilia. Our server, who's name I have forgotten, was wonderful. She arrived quickly for our beverage orders and returned promptly. She was very efficient with her trips back and forth to tables. The menu had a wonderful selection of appetizers, soup, salads, burgers, sandwiches, pizza, steaks, chicken/veal parm, pork chops, baked/fried cod, shrimp, pasta plus more. All the salad dressings, marinades and pasta sauces are made from scratch. Don't forget they cater from 5 to 500 if you need their services. Our table ordered the breaded cod (4 pieces), a generous amount of Spaghetti and meatballs with thin spaghetti in thick meat sauce with tasty meatballs, an excellent large serving of Linguine Clams with long noodles and chopped clams in a white garlic sauce and lastly, two delicious pizzas; Hamburger Pepperoni and Sausage Green Peppers on a thin crust. Everything we ordered was wonderful plus generous portions. I loved the Linguine and Clams and my husband said the sauce and meatballs were one of the best he's had before. The slice of sausage pizza I had was very flavorful on a thin crust. My sister-in-law thought the cod was terrific but couldn't believe she had 4 pieces of cod plus 2 sides. Everyone walked away stuffed and satisfied. If you get the opportunity, try Biggie's. We will be back when we return to Missouri.
Outstanding steak sandwich! Please order it on garlic cheese bread you'll thank me later!
Lunch. Staff was quick and attentive. The pork steak was awesome. Onion rings melt in your mouth.
Great neighborhood restaurant. Pasta, wings, burgers, apps all good. Great service. Always enjoy an evening with friends at Biggies.

The pasta con broccoli comes in a creamy tomato sauce that has so much flavor I think I could say it's my favorite pasta I've had here in Saint Louis! Love that it comes with broccoli and mushrooms too. The cavatelli is a close second for me because of the creamy, garlicky white sauce. If you're looking for more vegetarian foods here, you could also try the pasta primavera or the pizzas. Definitely will be back for the pasta con broccoli!
