The steak was too well-done and the seabass was undercooked. The service was excellent, and we were even offered a complimentary dessert.
We were there for a birthday celebration which I indicated in my reservation, but neither the host nor our server bothered to read the notes. The ambiance is very nice. It’s a new hotel and is clean and is in good shape. The noise level is loud though because the bar is no less than 10-15 feet from any restaurant table, and the night we were there, there was a wedding party and also sports people watching things on TV and reacting loudly to them. If you’re coming here for an intimate, quiet meal together, this isn’t the place. We were 1 of only 2 tables actually there to eat when we arrived. Yet the server attentiveness was sporadic and not at all the level we expected for a restaurant inside a boutique hotel at this price point. I had looked at the menu online before we booked, and had already selected the Waygu beef burger that was advertised to come with a special citrus marinade they use for their steaks, house made sweet pickles, and a special cheese I had never heard of, but was excited to try. The menu in the restaurant described it the same way, and it was listed at $21 with a side of fries. When it came out, the patty appeared to be a standard beef patty that had been frozen before cooking (I worked in restaurants for 9 years and know the difference), there was no citrus glaze, not a pickle to be found, and the cheese was a slice of American. Funny how the price didn’t change to reflect those downgrades! Given the time it took to receive our food and that the restaurant was very slow at the time, the fries were cold when they arrived at the table. I ordered the Famous Barr French onion soup (a local bygone favorite), and my date ordered a wedge salad, and both of those were fine. Nothing special, but nothing wrong with them either. My date ordered a duck flatbread that was pretty dry and not much flavor. The hotel experience was awesome and the staff at the hotel could not have been friendlier or more accommodating. Not so much for the restaurant
Buffet was average. Good service. Expensive for food served.
It was ok. Nice atmosphere. No background music playing which was strange. Just off the lobby of the hotel by didn’t mind that. Employees were nice. Food was good.
Terrible piece of steak. Had to send it back twice and meat quality was not good. Definitely not a good value. Couple bites of sides that came with it not enough. An Autograph Hotel should have a 5 star restaurant. Service not great either considering place was almost empty.
