Had a great experience here. Bright a large group and didn’t have a long wait. Waitress was awesome. Food was priced so that we didn’t go broke feeding 8 kids and 2 View all feedback.
What Tara Miller doesn't like about St. Louis Union Station Soda Fountain:
The food was amazing! We had a single and double cheeseburger with fries and did not disappoint. The only thing I would suggest is removing the peppercini from the double cheeseburgers basket...not good. The prices for food are decent, but ice cream seemed a little overpriced. We came at a slow time, and there were a lot of empty tables. However, it took a while for a server to greet us. Just didn't seem like a welco... View all feedback.
I've never taken the time to write a review before, but I feel compelled to share my experience. Honestly, don't waste your time or money at this place. The service was terrible. We never received a refill on our water. It took forever for our floats to arrive, and when they finally did, they were half melted and the soda was flat. The chicken was drier than a Popeyes biscuit, and we barely got any sauce—plus, they gave us the wrong one. The fries looked unclean, as if they had been cooked in equipment that hadn't been washed in months. Overall, it was disgusting.
The food was fantastic! We ordered a single and a double cheeseburger with fries, and they were delightful. However, I would suggest removing the pepperoncini from the double cheeseburger basket, as they didn't quite work for me. The prices for the food were reasonable, but the ice cream felt a bit pricey. We arrived during a slow period, and there were many empty tables, yet it took a while for anyone to greet us. The atmosphere didn’t feel very welcoming, so we decided not to stay for dessert. I'm hesitant to recommend this place; I'm a bit on the fence.
Parking was easy to find; street parking seemed to be the best and most economical option for a quick visit. The street parking accepted both card and coins, making it simple to enter our license plate number, which generated a ticket with the expiration time. Just be mindful not to skip the meter, as there was a guard frequently checking plates. We saw him both when we arrived and left, and he was helpful. As for kid-friendliness, we had two children on the spectrum in our group, and Chelsey was incredibly accommodating, helping us find a quieter area where the kids could be comfortable without causing a disruption. We visited after the dinner rush, and the atmosphere was excellent, with fast service, which is essential when managing multiple kids.

Went into the candy shop with my girlfriend and browsed while the two employees talked to each other and stared at me (probably because of all my tattoos) I found some beer and champagne flavored jelly beans and walked up to the checkout where the two employees were as well I went to grab a pack of old fashioned gum that's at the register and I sat my items down the employees just walked off we waited a minute to see if they would come back and we ended up leaving the items we wanted to purchase at the counter and walking out. This was our first real vacation and the experience we had there really soured my night. I shouldn't get treated less than because of my looks and I do not recommend this place.
