Their espresso machine wasn't working and of course I had gone in there for a latte. They made me a special drink with a regular coffee and got it as close to a latte as possible and it was amazing! I have been a diehard Kaldis fan for years! Slowly over the years as they have grown as a company they have gotten increasingly worse in both food and drink quality. Years ago they did quality checks every few hours on the flavor profiles of their espresso and rarely IF ever did you get a wrong drink or bad service and now it seems every other visit I am having to ask them to remake my drink while they argue with me... Great coffee here! The only downside is that it is so busy, it's hard to find a place to sit. Service is great, and they have great food as well.
Bring back the breakfast sandwich! They changed their menu and got rid of a lot of the good food in my opinion. They replaced the delicious breakfast sandwich with some cheap Starbucks tasting breakfast biscuit that tasted microwaved. However, their coffee and bakery products are still really good.
Definitely my favorite (not so little) coffee shop in my hometown. Every time I come to Kaldi's I'm filled with nostalgia with memories of my early high school self who would come here to sometimes study but mostly spend time with my friends. Little did I know back then, the coffee is amazing! Coming back now, it's mostly the same layout with a facelift. It's spacious with tables, booths, comfy chairs, and a community working area. I went with one of the holiday specials, the brown sugar and rosemary latte. This was one of the most unique lattes I've ever had! The rosemary is strong, but is balanced nicely by the coffee and brown sugar. If you're into super sweet drinks, this probably isn't for you, but I enjoyed the unusual flavor combinations and creativity. My husband ordered Kaldi's version of a peppermint mocha and really enjoyed it as well. I usually try to grab a slice of gooey butter cake whenever I pay Kaldi's a visit, because it's my FAVORITE from here. I've also tried plenty breakfast/lunch items on the menu and they are all solid. Kaldi's is definitely a busier coffee shop, but it has truly become a staple in Kirkwood and I'll continue to visit whenever I'm in town!
Solid place to get drinks and a snack, ordered just a basic cold brew and a muffin and both were good. Great place to get some studying done. Overall environment was good and service was good as well. Would recommend.
Perfect place to meet after a run or the gym. Outdoor seating is also available. Heathy and sinful breakfast all available here. The treats and coffee are fantastic, or try the tea service. Lively atmosphere and you're sure to run into or make a friend
