Average service above average pub food. We came as a family of 4 between lunches. It took a bit until a host showed up, and we sat immediately as soon as they did. You can sit on the bar side (football was up, drink specials running) or the restaurant side we decided on the restaurant side. It wasn't very busy, there seemed to be a server working. We were all already set to our selection, so the order was a breeze. T... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Helen Fitzgerald's Irish Grill Pub:
Service and management were great. The food was sad and was dead from sitting in the window. 45 minutes after our order. And we came here before the rush so that this excuse didn't fly. Do better boys. Here's a picture of the chicken sandwich that was like a grilled cheese. View all feedback.
We were all ready to place our orders, so that went smoothly. The food arrived promptly. I tried the shepherd's pie, which was well-seasoned and had a lovely herbal aroma. My husband had the fish and chips, which were light and not at all overcooked, accompanied by a delicious aioli. The other two in our party had the beef dish; they said it was decent but not memorable. Overall, the prices were quite reasonable for a family of four.
During our trip to St. Louis, we discovered this restaurant next to our hotel, and we absolutely loved it! Despite it being a busy Monday due to a hockey event, the atmosphere was vibrant and lively. The food was delicious—we enjoyed several appetizers and everything was fantastic. The staff were incredibly generous, and our server, Valerie, was exceptional! Even though she was busy, she made sure to attend to all our needs. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the area; it has a charming, small-town feel that makes it special.
The service and management were excellent, but the food was disappointing. It had clearly been sitting in the window for a while, as we waited 45 minutes for our order. We arrived before the rush, so that excuse didn’t hold up. Step it up, guys. Attached is a picture of the chicken sandwich, which resembled a grilled cheese instead.
? Shepherd cake? Food and service leaves much to be desired. Very disappointed by a place that is an alleged St. Louis spinel. Their shepherd cake is basically a terrible version of Hamburg's helpers minus noodles, with a can of peas and carrots spilled update: During the service and food not on standard, the manager was very attentive and did everything she could to make it right, which was very appreciated.
Service, atmosphere, cleanliness and price all solid 4 stars. However, the corned beef and cabbage barley rates a 3. I will give them another chance. But it was the most bland food I've eaten in a long time. The corned beef looked like it came straight out of a deli case, sliced for sandwiches and dropped in a pot of unseasoned boiling water. Cabbage and potatoes the same.
