End of tourist season and the village was quiet as was the restaurant. However the person serving us, he was also there visiting his mother, spends some month in Vietnam each year, treated us with upmost respect. That continued onto a lovely lunch what we in Australia call a good pub lunch) with a good local wine adding to the ambience. Outside as the weather was sunny so he set up table especially for us. We smiled... View all feedback.
What dffsdfsd doesn't like about Auberge du Pont:
Don't expect to be served within any reasonable (or even unreasonable) time frame. We sat there for over 20mins without even being offered water tried to call them over a few times, completely ignored View all feedback.
A mistake was made with our booking. They thought were arriving and there were 12. However, we were swiftly accommodated even though the restaurant was busy. Good pizzas for children.
These are by far the best Pizza in the Dordogne. Would certainly recommend also the lovely salads on offer, portions are generous too.
We sat outside. Location cannot be faulted, sitting in courtyard under a balcony of cooling shady leaves.Service was SLOW.The food (we had pizzas) were great. I had never had walnut on a pizza. I can highly recommend it. Blue cheese on pizza also wonderful. The location and the food make up (mostly) for the poor service, and in fact the three of us had a lovely long slow lunch.
Nous avons été surpris par la pâte à pizza peu conventionnelle, mais finalement c'était bon... tout comme le vin et le dessert. Un repas honnête, rien d'extraordinaire mais on peut y aller tranquille.
