We stayed with our friends who lived next to the auberge and went to eat at our last night. we had the menu d’arierge, which was 23 euro for 5 courses. the whole food is locally produced and very tasty. after a...Amuse beech we had a wonderful creamy mushroom soup. then we had prayed au veau or a tartine, then local forelle or calf meat, village produced cheese and delicious cream caramel or chocolate fondant cake. amazing eating for an amazing price. there are also menus for 18 or if they are very hungry 32 euro. all looked good. we were supervised by the owner florenz and we can not wait to see our friends again and eat here again! there is also a beautiful bar road where they can sit and watch the world over while they drink.
We have eaten in this auberge quite regularly in the last 6 years and have always enjoyed eating. we have luck having a house next door and now constantly pulled here I felt that it is about time that I checked the restaurant. As a...putted eating excellent, local source and well prepared from the cook. the food we had a few nights ago was prepared for the regional gastronomic competition, and all that I can say is that the starter was the best I ever had, it was a trout mousse with a carcinoma sauce fantastic and they deserve to win only for this alone. anyway, the menu was made with a starter as mentioned pornstar, then be dessert all rest is excellent price 25 euro about 20,50 in pfund and in england it would be up in the 50, 60 pfund holding. my daughter and my son-in-laware come next week to stay and we will leave the menu again. ok am l pretensioned yes, but good eating is good eating and this auberge deserves recognition and praise for his food and compliments at the young cook
We were in the middle of a property hunting visit to Saint Lary (not Saint Lary Soulan). We searched out this auberge in the centre of town. A beautiful little auberge set by the river with a lovely little cafe style bar at the front and a restaurant at the back. The restaurant terrace overlooks the river. As we were lunching we sat in the cafe/bar/shop area. We ordered the set menu (3 courses for 15 euro I think). Simple food but beautifully cooked. A really tasty home made vegetable soup with beautiful homemade bread, followed by braised chicken legs in their own sauce. A third course of brulee finished off the meal before we carried on with our househunting expedition. Will definately go back soon and try an evening meal by the river.
