Our second visit but it had been a long time since the firstHappily the restaurant is as good as it was then, and maybe even better.
Excellent meal in a cozy ambiance with great service, but let's put this in context.
From the service to the food to the ambiance everything was just excellent. My husband ordered the 4 course meal and I ordered the steak. The amuse bouche was a gazpacho which I love, when I asked if I could order it as an appetizer the waiter brought me my own amuse bouche. The bread was phenomenal- I believe it's made in house. He then had the tuna tartare and the fish of the day which were both fantastic. I had the beef and each part was beyond delicious - I especially loved the local mushrooms. It had a mustard in it and I'm not a fan of strong mustards so I asked them to go light on the mustard - no problems - perfect. For dessert I shared the ice cream layer dessert that came with my husband's meal. Superb. Through all this the service was impeccable. My husband wanted a glass of wine, the waiter made some suggestions and let my husband taste both. Waiter's description of the wine was spot on. Thank you for a wonderful evening!
I never thought this place would be a tourist trap, but it's actually quite the opposite. It's a classy restaurant with high-quality food, ingredients, and service. I ordered the 4-course meal which included gazpacho, smoked sturgeon, duck breast with wild mushrooms, and a strawberry pastry with whipped cream for dessert. They also have a great selection of wines. My husband enjoyed the octopus salad and cod on a bed of radish purée and mushrooms. The kids had tomato sauce tagliatelle, which they said was the best pasta they've had from a kids' menu. We're glad we finally tried this amazing place, which has changed my opinion of restaurants in the Tremblant area being tourist traps. While it's on the pricier side, it's definitely worth it.
