Description

La Conquistadora offers a mixed experience with food quality and service varying. While some found the food tasty and portions generous, others were disappointed by ordinary dishes and cold meals served without plates. The staff received mixed reviews, with some finding them attentive and others feeling neglected. An issue for some customers was the lack of gluten-free options and separate kitchen. Despite these drawbacks, those who enjoyed the food praised the cleanliness of the restaurant, competitive prices, and welcoming ambiance. Overall, La Conquistadora seems to deliver a traditional Mexican and Salvadoran dining experience, albeit with some room for improvement.

Really enjoyed lunch here, friendly service and food was very good. Had the specials: burrito and quesadilla with soup.

Came here for dinner on a sunday night. Nice little place with 2 seating area. One little patio. Do not judge it by the outside. Even if not trendy, the staff and food is worth it. We had as entree the nachos Conquistadora, as main enchiladas Mole, and homemade chorizo Quesadillas. With side choices of sauce from mild to hot (4 levels). All this for 30$All very good and typical food. Staff is very nice, friendly and caring. Giving good suggestions, by listening to our taste description. Very clean. We bought a bag of nachos to bring home. Typical grocery store in the basement.

The waiter was helpful and my chimichanga was Great. The prices were great. I couldn't eat the whole thing because it's big (To Go plate) But I might have eaten something different but the menu is on in French and Spanish. I can't read either. So I went with what was familiar. But good choice. Will come again.

I would not recommend this restaurant for those with celiac disease or gluten sensitivities, as they do not offer a gluten-free menu or have a separate kitchen space. Although the owners were helpful in trying to assist with ordering options, the restaurant is very busy. While there were only a few dishes on the menu that contained gluten, they could not guarantee that cross-contamination would not occur. Despite being on a road trip and in need of a hot meal, I decided to eat there due to limited options in town. Although I did not get sick, I do not usually take chances with my health and would not return to this restaurant due to my sensitivity to cross-contamination. The food was tasty, but the risk was not worth it for me.

I wish there were more diverse ethnic restaurants in the Laurentides region. I have been intrigued by this Mexican restaurant for a while now, always thinking I would visit someday.
