Contribute Feedback What Mike S doesn't like about Gouverneur Hotel:
The hotel seemed clean and the staff was friendly. Unfortunately, we had repeated problems with our room keys. The friends I visited with also had the same issues with their room keys, both to access the elevator and to enter our rooms. Keys needed to be reprogrammed many times, and we spoke with other guests having the same issues. The staff was helpful, but also noticeably frustrated with the issue. View all feedback.
Very nice hotel near the University and many restaurants. Friendly and helpful desk staff, rooms are extremely nice and quiet, nice bathroom amenities.
The hotel entrance/lobby is nice but the rooms and quite old and out of date and showing its age. Worst part about this hotel is the room I got had no charging cables to charge my cell phone whatsoever. Very disappointing
The hotel is in need of proper renovations and a good cleaning. The brunch was really expensive yet mediocre. On top of the high price and basic food they walked around trying to sell 8$ mimosas (not included and highly overpriced). The scrambled eggs were kind of slimy, some of the food was being taken with other people’s fingers, the toaster was veryyyy slow and old, the beans were tasteless and just juice no beans. By 1 pm they stopped refilling empty areas. No bacon. No pretzels. Etc. So you kept going back to see if they refilled it. It’s pretty sad. Used to be worth it.
The restaurant was out of water and the technician worked late into the night to fix it. In addition, guests are restricted from using the stairwells. A conference being held at the hotel caused long lines in the lobby for the elevator. The staff were not accommodating and did not handle the situation well. There are many other hotels and hostels nearby that provide a better experience.
