Located in the far north-eastern part of the country, this auberge offers stunning views of the St. Lawrence River from its dining room. It is a must-visit, especially during the beautiful Fall season when the surrounding colors are at their peak. The dining room provides full service, and English-speaking guests will have no trouble being accommodated. The auberge also offers spacious rooms with private bathrooms. T... View all feedback.
What Raquel Montenegro doesn't like about Hotel Auberge du Faubourg:
Defiled carpet, furniture from another era, smell of old, bathtub having a lot of experience (too much experience) this hotel is to be avoided, you have to run. However, for the temerals, see my advice. If you book, take the package that includes the dinner and breakfast. the dining room is very well held, the food is good and the service is to be emphasized, for these meals we were served by diane. We typically stop at this hotel as our resting place from Toronto to New Brunswick. While the hotel rooms are dated and tired, its quick and easy for us, and dog friendly! The restaurant is partly why we always return the food is delicious, the restaurant is old world lovely and the view spectacular. We have had a few different servers and each time it was a good experience.

On our trip to PEI we diverted from the main highway to follow 132 along the river through Quebec, it took us trough small picturesque villages and beautiful scenery. Finding ourselves growing hungry we came upon the Restaurant at the Hotel Auberge du Fauborg , the dining room was magnificent replete with massive wood carvings and huge windows to enjoy the sunset. The food was excellent and the staff were so accommodating to us even though our French was sadly atrocious. This is as fine a dining experience I have had, enjoyed in a comfortable almost rustic atmosphere. A completely unexpected treat to begin our vacation.
We have dined at this restaurant more than a dozen times, and each time the food has been amazing. The dinner options are delicious and the breakfast buffet is fantastic.
The restaurant has a stunning view and is worth a visit, but beyond that, our experience was lacking. Our room was outdated and missing basic amenities such as a clock, coffee maker, fridge, and hair dryer, which are typically expected in a 3-star hotel. Ice was only available from the reception and the only Wi-Fi access was in the lobby. Despite these shortcomings, the breathtaking view and excellent staff made up for it.
