My friend and I were on a cycling trip in the French Alps. Our loop for the day was climbing the Col du Glandon and Col de la Croix de Fer from St. Etienne-de-Cuines, and then descending down the Col du Mollard to get back to the Maurienne Valley. We crested the Croix-de-Fer and were looking for a place to have lunch. Being mid-June, the town shops at Saint-Sorlin-d'Arves was shut, so we ended up at L'Equipe. And boy... View all feedback.
What Ұйықбай Тілеміс doesn't like about Bar Restaurant L'Equipe:
we returned to lunch in this restaurant in which we have already dinner in summer on the return of hikes. we were then satisfied with the value/price ratio. that was not the case this time. We found that this establishment a little out of the main road had its charm and that it was worth the detour. View all feedback.
During a hot June cycling trip stopped twice at L’Equipe, both times running out of options for food cold drinks because most of the nearby ski resorts were closed, there is nothing between St Jean de Maurienne the Col de La Croix de Fer- Owner really friendly despite our minimal french, gave us cold water a great veggie lunchtime meal of Raclette salad

Excellent meal served with local cheeses and regional wine. Couldn't have asked for any better. We spoke very basic french, but the proprietor was tolerant of our misconstructed sentences and tried her best to communicate with us in English as well. All in all, good fun.
10 years, during our stays in st jean d'arves, we come to dinner in this bar restaurant, authentic witness and without artifice of local life. The fondue with ceps prepared by ginette is a treat. a welcome and nice break with the welcome of Jean-Marc to the return of steps to the point, the plan wasted or a rando at the pass of the Ornon.Jean and Geneva

Whether it is for a stop during a hike or for lunch or dinner you are plunged into the middle of the savoyards; you can chat with the customers of the mountain life bar or with the owners. I advise you to fondue with ceps... small restaurant bar without pretention but the bosses cook well traditional dishes.
