Loved the vegan-90s-kid feel about this place. From a pinball game to chandeliers, this place felt like safe-judgment free place to eat my complex feelings. You could play video games at the bar eating waffle fries and drinking decent beer too if that's more your style... The food was, everything you wished for comfort-wise with great flavor. I wanted to try one of everything! If you didn't tell people it was vegan,... View all feedback.
What Kat K doesn't like about Bad Apple Vegan Restaurant Bar:
Perhaps in its hay day it was great vegan food... However, on the night we went over half the menu was crossed out which limited our choices dramatically. The burger wasn't delicious and tasted like nothing. The bacon was too chewy. View all feedback.
Really good vegan pub food. The atmosphere was pretty cool, will definitely go back.
My favorite vegan place ever. Love their food like Happy Hour Nachos and the burgers. I wish their Caesar salad with the chicken will be my last meal before I die. This is my getaway vacation I love the food , the service just everything. Will be sad to see any huge changes to a menu as I didn’t have a chance to try everything

Can't wait to bring my unsuspecting, vegan-phobe friends here on the regular.
Hole in the wall, fully vegan, dive bar, located Hastings and Nanaimo. We wanted to sit out back (they have a full patio in their back alley but note, its quite loud with the cars, kinda smelly because of the garbage bins, and full of bugs). We entered the front to be told to head around back. We ordered jalapeño honey garlic cauliflower wings with dill sauce. The wings were good but not overly flavourful with the sauce. Add the dill sauce because its incredible. We also got the kale Caesar which was so incredible. Baby kale leaves tossed in the perfect amount of sauce and fried capers! Lastly, we got the french dip. Filled with soy curls and mushrooms inside the softest bun! Delicious!! Really good vegan addition and hopefully it picks up! I'd love to see this place blow up!!
