My first time here was amazing. I had a wonderful meal. The flavors the aromas yum yum.. mouth watering!!The attention was cool too for a 2 person staff. ???I highly recommend this hidden gem ? on Commercial Drive!!

I came from Toronto to Vancouver for a wedding and I love doubles! One of the best doubles I ever had and bake and salt fish ?

The staff and service are equally as exceptional as the food. My partner and I went in before running a few errands to grab dinner and there was a minor miscommunication which when I called the store to let them know they made it right right away. I can’t recommend this place enough. The food was flavourful and you can’t beat the price for the portions and freshness. If you aren’t sure about giving Baby Dhal a try… Do it! You’ll thank me later.

Mostly a takeout, but there are a few seats to eat in. I think right now, this is my favorite Trinidadian wee bit o Jamaican style food place in Vancouver. Good quality, great slow cooked flavours and it’s no frills. That’s how it should be. When you walk into this unassuming place, you’re energized with the music and the vibrant mural on the wall. The friendly service and you know it’s legit when they serve Ting drinks. I ordered my shrimp with spicy hot sauce and realized after my first bite. Hey! This is real good Trinidad sauce. It reminded me of my cousins sauce he used to bring when he was on the island down south. So many good memories of that hot sauce which we can’t quite get here. So yeah best place for this. It’s so yum and worth the drive for takeout.

Absolutely fantastic. This is the best dhalpuri I have had in a very long time. It really was silky soft and full with lots of dhal. I really cannot imagine how they got it that full and rolled it without it bursting, brilliant.The paratha or buss up shot was as good and the oxtail was incredibly soft and delicious. Good portions with lots of sauce. The price is higher but they do give more.One hundred percent taste of Trinidad.Vegetarian options: They do cater for this.
