Unfortunately I don 't remember the name of the women checking us out, she said she made that pasties . We stopped on our way back downriver To start great customer service friendly welcoming. We got the venison and bacon pasties sat and ate everything was delicious. My 10 yr old even said is was great and tipped out of her own money 5$ and said she is so nice I like her. The gravy was so savory and added to the already delicious venison pasties. Crust was crispy but not dry . Grabbed some to go, venison and turkey (thanksgiving dinner) ate the turkey when we got got home with some cranberry dressing , everything was great! definitely a place we will continue to stop by when in the area Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20 Recommended dishes: Homemade Pasties and Homemade Fudge

It's a small restaurant attached to a general store. The people who worked there were very friendly and they told me some places to see in the U.P. since I'm traveling. I tried one of their beef pasties because I've never had a pasty before and I wanted to see what it was like. It wasn't super flavorful (although still fairly good) and the edges of the crust were a little hard to chew, but it was very satisfying on a cold day. It stayed hot for a long time and filled me up. The price was pretty decent for what I got. I wish there was more meat, but overall I enjoyed it. I think it would have been better if I got it with gravy, but I was trying to not spend too much. The best I've ever had!!! As a troll that's spent a lot of time in the UP my entire life, pasties have always been dry and flavorless, I always try them and end up covering them in gravy (troll love right? These are different, they're moist and seasoned amazingly. The crust is perfect, even reheated. These are the only pasties I've ever looked forward to and truly enjoyed!. Skip the fast food chains and stop here. The pasties are great (first timer), service is amazing, and counter service took less than 5 minutes. There’s a cute convenience store attached, so you can also stock up for the road trip. They also have breakfast pasties, which I’m tempted to get in the morning. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
