Was a really grey day, we were greeted with charm by a Dutch waitress, she was more than helpful , the meal was superb , steak too large for all of us. Will certainly recommend to friends and family. Can't wait to return View all feedback.

Fantastic surroundings, great location but...The dispense bar tender looked like he was gonna fall asleep, messy hair and a un ironed shirt, not even hello or anything, the waitresses and waiter were running like nuts, the manager was shouting at the waitresses, especially Monique, the staff in the open kitchen were eating during the service (food hygiene basics guys,)! it was just a massive mess. It looked like none... View all feedback.
We arrived there and were told that there were no cow meat cut options, it was only midday on a Tuesday. we were a little shocked. we picked the cannon and the fish, but we didn't expect us to eat that. the place...was nice, the people sat enough to meet the safe distancing requirement. I was with young children and older people, so I felt comfortable. the land was beautiful, good landscape. we made a little walk on the field and it helped with digestion hahaha overall I was happy to try it but note them to go when it is hectic to have the chance to have more choice of meat.
Arrived at Sunday afternoons without reservation when there was a big party, but they attached us to the terrace. ok €30 menu of gazpacho, calf meat (very, very good) and meringue (a bit hard) with fruit. good enough house wine.

It looked like none of them ever worked in a restaurant before. The food was fantastic and the waitresses were lovely, especially Monique and the Dutch lady. Will go again but please get some training guys and a descent Maitre D

Friends who live nearby had heard good things about this place. So we went with them to try it out for a Saturday lunch after visiting the fascinating ruins of Chalucet castle which is only 10 minutes away. The restaurant is in the Limousine Park (yes, English spelling) and sits above the place where Limousin cattle are auctioned. Behind it, set into the hillside, are offices connected with the local beef industry. It has superb views across to the hills and mountains to the east. If you are a vegetarian, this is not the place for you. But if you want top-quality beef (lamb or pork) cooked exactly as it should be, you should definitely make your way here. Our waiter was very diplomatic. He was obviously concerned, on hearing our English voices, that we would want the meat well-done. He warned us, in French, that he had heard our accents and we should know that the meat would be rose. We assured him that that would be fine!We shared a plate of charcuterie as a starter - some of the best ham, I've ever tasted. And my beef was perfect. They offer a good selection of wines, including bottles from the Coteaux de Vezeres. I believe this is an ancient vineyard which has recently been brought back into production. We had a 2014 Les Perieres. Quite expensive at 32€ but really good. My only complaint is one I often make in France - the desserts were tasteless (stale chocolate? low grade ice cream?).This restaurant and the park is only a couple of minutes from exit 38 of the A20 motorway. It would be a great place to take a long mid-day break on your journey.
