What Brendan Bailey doesn't like about L'Huitre et la Vigne:
This place sounded intriguing - an open air restaurant specialising in seafood set amidst the vines. Unfortunately the place failed to live up to its romantic description - it was expensive, slow (and I mean slow by french standards - we are not "eat in 30 minutes americans" - and mediocre. My wife and I came here for our a meal on our honeymoon. At first glance it appears we are approaching a farm house but when you walk around the corner you are greeted by a beautiful outside dining area overlooking their own vineyard. The views were gorgeous and we had the added bonus of being there for sunset. Sophie's passion came through despite a language barrier and the stay was warm and friendly. She even place...
