We were there on a quiet Monday night and he gave us a taste of his own tapenade with teensy bread stick slices and then we had a plat du jour to try his fare. Started with a fresh salad, Dave had a few pieces of some local natural sausage with his. I don't eat meat so didn't try it but Dave said it was fantastic. Then we had mains, he had sausage and mash (Aligot) French style and I had stir fried chicken which was very tasty as was Dave's. He didn't want desert but I couldn't resist trying the Pannacotta with honey on top. Beautifully done. I almost swooned. We had wines, I had a glass of Sauvignon Blanc, local region and Dave had local red wine - both really nice for Australians testing the field.Lovely little restaurant with clean facilities and a chef who wants to please you. Don't miss this place if you are in Saint Geniez d'Olt. Gorgeous town, walk along the river, takes you to another level of French life.
