A very nice colorful market where all influences cross. A very pleasant atmosphere and many people looking at the many aisles. Well located on the seafront. It's better to get there early, but if the walk doesn't bother you (which is paramount) then you can park a bit upstream of the main road leading there. We were parked at 900 m and we found places. To visit on Friday or Saturday morning. View all feedback.
The most beautiful market I made on Reunion Island. I returned several times during my holidays so I enjoyed it for its atmosphere, the quality of street food (bon pepper, samoussa etc.,. reception and smile of traders, variety of products etc. It is a real one to wander among the stands, discuss with the premises, taste the typical products of the island, make its purchases etc. Whether food, clothing or souvenirs, you can find your happiness. From one week to another, the stalls are not necessarily the same and it is good to come back several times. One of my favorite pleasures was to take a coconut (4 euros for an average size in the coconut water market. Once drunk, it is enough to return to see him so that he can open it so that he can eat his flesh. Faced with the seafront, this moment was idyllic.
Unavoidable market of intense island. Even more touristic than the Chaudron in Saint Denis. Very wide choice of fruits and vegetables at unbeatable prices. Super booth at the entrance of samoussas, nems,... I recommend the chicken to kill. You will also find souvenirs for your loved ones, typical products of the Meeting (vanilla, valves, traditional creole outfits,... . Merchants are loves, hyper communicative, and regulars are just as good people. You will also find herbal tea (see photo . I also advise the coconut water dealer at the bottom of the market, the team is super nice. Count 5 euros if you drink in the coconut, you can bring it back to them once finished, they will open it to you so that you can eat the fresh coconut, a delight. I highly recommend!
The largest and famous market on the island. There are fruits/lights, local dishes (samoussas, caps), souvenirs, spices, rum, etc. Note: To buy vanilla pods, it is often vanilla that comes from Madagascar (called Vanille Bourbon, a mention given for the origin of Mauritius, Madagascar or Réunion). You have to buy it a little fried (not thick because it is watery and will rot when you return to the metropolis). For the vanilla of the Meeting, it is better to buy it directly in the vanilla.
Great deal, to see. All products are represented for our greatest happiness
Just like the Chaudron market and others at the meeting there is a huge choice of fruits and vegetables at really affordable prices. There's really everything you need for food not to go to supermarkets (the prices are very high) This Market located on the seafront of St Paul is a little more for tourists. Be careful because some street merchants of bibelots and other souvenirs have a little high prices.
