A wonderful experience on our first evening at L’Archestrate. We received a very warm welcome and helpful advice from the two waitresses. The place is cozy and rather unique. We'll be back to try next season's menu!
We arrived on April 4th. There were a few minor misunderstandings. The staff wasn't up to standard. They need to relearn the basics of service and sommelier knowledge. Serving champagne without offering a taste, disappearing with the bottle, and bringing the glasses to the table was a bit lacking for the expected level of service. Otherwise, the food was perfectly fine.
We had a wonderful culinary experience. Special mention goes to the halibut steak with asparagus and the pollack with Champagne sausage. Very daring combinations that paid off. Top-notch.
The food was excellent, no complaints there. However, it was cold, and the young waiter seemed completely inexperienced. He left without clearing our table, and when we asked for coffee, it was too late because the only remaining staff member wasn't authorized to serve coffee or a digestif. A shame for a restaurant of this caliber. Considering the price, we expected better service.
We've had the pleasure of dining at this charming restaurant on several occasions, where the welcome is always warm, and the verdict is clear: everything is impeccable. The quality of the ingredients, the flawless service, the beautifully presented dishes, and even a visit from the chef... nothing is lacking! A huge thank you to the entire team, and congratulations on your excellent work!
