Excellent good value and charming helpful staff. We go there regularly, it's worth the drive. It's now one of our 'must goes'.

We have been visiting this restaurant for about 18 years and have always enjoyed the experience. Some reviews here complain of the wait and the staff and I can understand why, however we have always had a good time. This year we learnt that it had changed hands and so were a little concerned that our favorite eating place was not going to be the same. It has improved, the menu is larger, the portions no smaller, and the quality is arguably even better. Happy days.

During our week's stay in Saint-Chinian we dined at Café de la Paix several times, and on each occasion very much enjoyed the ambiance, kindness of the staff and, of course, the wonderful dishes! The menu is varied, interesting and, above all, the portions are very generous. It may be advisable to share some of the dishes, but otherwise they are very happy to wrap anything one cannot manage so that it can be enjoyed later/the next day. The garden is the perfect setting to spend a magical evening. Merci beaucoup à tous chez le Café de la Paix!

We had a really great meal, the portions were big and tasty and service was excellent! I have to say the dessert that I chose was spectacular, it was almost a deconstructed lemon meringue pie and one of the nicest I have ever tasted!
