El Pueblito - Saint Charles

Next time, I'll definitely remember to take pictures of the food! For now, I can share my thoughts. This is a great spot! The salsa was delicious, just how I like it—spicy and fresh. Both the red and green salsa were served, and I decided to try the special: two cheese enchiladas with rice and beans. I wasn't particularly committed to a meatless meal, but it sounded appealing, and it did not disappoint. The enchiladas were topped with a delightful green sauce, avocado, and lettuce, in a traditional style. The rice and beans complemented the flavors perfectly. I enjoyed every bite, leaving only a tiny bit of lettuce behind. The conversation flowed well, especially with Megan, who shared some interesting history about the place. I can't wait to return and try the meat dishes they offer! I'm so glad I found this place. Oh, and they have a small bar as well, which I enjoyed! Until next time!

I had a great experience with the food here! I ordered the flautas and enchiladas, both of which were tasty. Unfortunately, the salsa verde on the enchiladas was quite understated, but the meat was so well-seasoned that it somewhat compensated for the lack of sauce. Still, I would have preferred a bit more salsa. Overall, it was delicious, and I would definitely love to come back for more!

I dined here for the first time and I wish I had discovered it sooner. The staff is incredibly friendly. This restaurant has an authentic Mexican atmosphere. You definitely have to try the tacos, but my boyfriend also enjoyed the tortas. I’m confident that everything on the menu is good and authentic. Plus, there’s a Mexican store next door where you can pick up some tasty Mexican candy or other treats. We will definitely be returning!

The '636 tradicional' mixed meat fajitas were incredibly flavorful, with perfectly cooked meat from steak to shrimp. My boyfriend ordered the steak entree and enchiladas, and he said both were fantastic. The Tres Leches dessert (I might have spelled that incorrectly) was the best I’ve ever had—so delicious, with layers of flavor in every bite. We've visited twice already and will continue to return while spreading the word. (Apologies for not taking any photos; I was too busy enjoying the meal!)

The food here is exceptional! If you're looking for genuinely authentic Mexican cuisine that delights the palate, this restaurant is a must-visit.
