This small Auberg is just on the outskirts of a pretty village called St. Benoit. It a highly recommended place to visit and if you book into the Champ de Foire, you should not be disappointed. We took the 24Eu evening menu. The restaurant has recently changed hands and the new team are doing a great job. In an area where good restaurants that can serve the whole family good food with good service are a bit thin on t... View all feedback.
What Gilbert Humbert doesn't like about Auberge du Champ de Foire:
Visited the restaurant with my wife at lunch time the menu is very local French so we thought would give it a go. Ordered two entrecôte what we got was brisket or strip beef all tangled and overcooked. Made a complaint to the manager told it was entrecôte and argued with us over it and also tried to bring the chef into it. Felt very hostile towards us maybe because we were British staff not helpful terrible customer... View all feedback.
We found this auberge by chance and are very pleased we did so. The food was excellent and the family who own it were such lovely people and made us feel so welcome. Great service and great food. What a great find! We will definitely be back.
I went in September with some friends. I have been previously and it was really good however I won’t be returning anytimesoon. The meal was small and not particularly well prepared. I was very disappointed
I’ve been meaning to write a well deserved review for this wonderful local restaurant for months now! This family run Auberge is in the pretty town of Saint Benoit du Sault, and it’s really worth a visit. Recently under new ownership, the menus are straightforward, unfussy, but absolutely delicious! Some of the produce are actually grown in the adjoining kitchen garden. In the summer months, you can sit outside, overlooking the garden....delightful! Good, seasonal menus, and great friendly service ! Highly recommended.
Can't knock it 4 courses for €13.50. Very french cuisine with other options if you dont fancy the offerings. Very busy and popular with all the local workforce (always a good sign of quality) We will certainly visit again. The town is lovely for a wander after lunch lots of little medieval lanes.
On mange très bien dans ce restaurant. Il y a un menu du jour à 13,5euros, la qualité est au rdv. Sinon il y a les plats à la carte. Les prix sont corrects. Le resto possède une terrasse. Seul l accueil pourrait être à améliorer.
