As is normal in France nothing opens for food until and as we like to eat early it is very difficult to find something, the Queens was open so we sat down and had a drink, the waitress was lovely and asked if we...would like food, which we did, okay it is not Michelin level but it was very nice and not very expensive View all feedback.
What Christof Pfeifer doesn't like about Queen's CafÉ:
Lovely warm welcome from efficient staff. Good location with cosy indoors and large outdoor space next to a pretty fountain. Starters were good value for money and tasty. Our mains were overpriced for the quality of the meat. View all feedback.
On the return of the holiday, we stop at St-Avold for lunch. at random, we settle in this establishment that seems to be frequented by local people. midi formula at interesting prices. if the volaille-mozarelle-tomate-basilic supreme is very good, on the other hand, niçoise, so generously served, simply lacks seasoning. No anchovies, no salt, no pepper, no dressing. The sun was hitting hard on St-Avld this noon there but was cruelly missing in the plate! Very slow service.
I love the bites to the queen, but then this one had nothing royal. little taste, little sauce. So the rice was dry! My son has chosen a special Spanish omelette: it will be necessary that the cook go on vacation in España because the peppers don't get raw but must be cooked first with onions!
2 h the express menu. parcontre la mousse au chocolat est très bonne, le service agréable. dishes are houses
Restaurant room on the nicely decorated floor. expanded map with regional specialities. service a little slow but in a ballad we accept. A little smile from the boss would be welcome.
