Buon locale con una splendida terrazza sul lago. Personale estremamente educato e rapido nel servizio. Cucina tipica svizzera, un po' grassa, ma nel complesso buona. Consigliato per una gita fuori porta. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Chez Monmon:
C’est une belle terrasse, directement au bord de l’eau, avec une jolie vue sur la Riviera vaudoise en face. Les filets de perche étaient excellents, ce qui n’était pas le cas du filet d’omble chevalier qui avait été était congelé. C’est sans doute cela qui explique la très longue attente entre l’entrée et le plat principal. Le service était, en effet, beaucoup plus rapide aux tables voisines où seuls des filets de pe... At the lake, meters from the French border, a few parking spaces 20 meters away. We ate inside, the weather was cold and rainy, so no luck for the terrace that is quietly large. Both had fish dishes, perche fillets and ferra with French fries... and the price includes a fresh small mixed salad. The ambience is modern and clean, the staff was attentive to customers. The perche filets with size 200gr is quietly large. It seems that they stop serving this beginning of May, so if you go all the way there to make sure they serve them.
We haven't been there since 2008 and had to return to a good memory of the lemon perch with fries lakeside! Love sit outside with the beautiful landscape. It's a little expensive, but we knew that in. Food is really good... including salad and bread.
I visited Le Rivage as St Gingolph special memories. In addition, in 2015 a mini avalanche of rocks and water from a mountain stream that pours into Lake Geneva, threaded into the restaurant and adjacent building. It took two years to get the owner back on his business. When I visited Switzerland at the end of 2015, I first experienced extensive damage and decided to eat in the restaurant once it worked again. I was in Geneva in September 2017 and did the two hours a little trip the restaurant begins to operate 1130, so I showed up and they gave me a table for one. At this point there were few diners so that I could choose and choose. A party of four arriving shortly after thought it would be good fun to ignore all the other available places and settle at a nearby table. I wanted to move. Move. And guess. The descendant of the owner (Kid, grandchild) begins to run amok, so his presence feels very. The locals smile (not he cute). I'll go. This time in a quieter area. It's called a corner where it's easy to forget. But the girls, give them credit, have worked, wher e I'd finally got me my salad, followed by the cash fillets for which the area (not only this restaurant is known. (Fish is served with frits or damped spucks. There is a tartaric acid sauce on the side that I suspect caused my outrage on the way back to Geneva. But I could be wrong. Because of my movements, plus the fact that many parties have arrived from four or more now, I am not asked what I want to drink. So until I get my salad, followed by the fish, a drink is no longer necessary. After I finished my meal, I'll wait for the lady to visit me and find out if I wanted something else. The minutes pass... Finally, I go and pay the counter. The coffee I ordered will not happen. In short, I had never visited this restaurant before the rock slide, so I don't know how it was before. All I know now is that it is super shiny with stainless steel happens great time and character at all not. The food was okay. They promote the fish as their speciality, but they would not win master chefs, even in their wildest dreams. (My opinion only). Everything in a glamorous environment that loses everything a local rustic restaurant could offer. Would I go back? Well, you work on it. Do not guess it for individual guests. I'm sorry, female guests.
Was very busy when we arrived; Sunday dinner, I guess. We had lunch on the French side, not so glamorous, but a great view of real food, even less expensive. Anyway, we had a coffee here before we got La Suisse to Vevey. Clean toilets.
