Situated by the rover Aveyron, lovely view on town and river, especially on river terrace (requires timely reservation). Menu varies, excellent food, very friendly, hospitality way above usual in France. We liked it a lot. About the food: we had lamb and pork dishes, really outstanding quality meat and perfect cuisson. What User doesn't like about Le festin de Babette:
I was also a member of the party there on Bastille night. The food, when it arrived, was passable but not outstanding. The service however was absolutely appalling. The waitress was surly, rolling her eyes and tutting at us because one of smoked salmon entree arrived in just about an acceptable time. There was then a 50 minute wait for the two fish mains, followed by a further 30 minute wait for the Lamb mains.Dessert... View all feedback.
After having a stroll around the city we crossed over the bridge to this restaurant. It was a lovely warm day . We got a table and had the nicest meal . All in all great
This restaurant in Saint Antonin Noble Val is situated along the Aveyron River. You can either eat inside or on the decking with views of the river and of the old houses. This is charming for a later summer evening with friends. Food is freshly sourced and they will happily give you details of the ingredients used if you hesitate in your choice. They will also take note of any allergies. It looked superb on the plate and was very tasty. We had a bottle of white Gaillac, an excellent discovery.
Visited here after a gap of 2 years. Delighted to find new owners and an improved menu. More flair and variety also a little more expensive but worth it
What a wonderful surprise to find really top class food in a small village. The chef is nothing short of brilliant. The amuse bouche was fantastic. The starter was really unusual and great. My veal with polenta chips, a wonderful sauce and pea purée was out of this world. The location is amazing too on the banks of the Aveyron. Highly recommended
We went on consecutive nights. The service was excellent, the food good and the ambience agreeable. Definitely worth a visit ...
