super welcome, beautiful setting, meals more than good, the boss is someone very attractive and friendly. It's not a fast food, but a small restaurant managed by a boss who makes a little patience it's worth it! View all feedback.
Disturbing experience We are fine gourmets and for the birthday of our children we decided to go for dinner in a very typical , somewhere in the middle of nowhere, place with 8 adults and 2 babies at the Corniche in Penne. When we arrived around 19:00 7PM we were seduced by an extraordinary view of the fields and white limestone hills adjacent to the Aveyron. A beautiful table had been prepared by our host. He received us with attention and we were obviously expected. In fact the owner of the restaurant is at the same time the hostess, the waiter, the cook, the plunger and the table cleaner. So imagine the work done to serve the 12 peoples who were on the terrace. In addition the restaurant owner puts a personal honor to speak (long with each of his customers. We, the people of the city, live at a different pace and at the restaurant the dishes must follow each other rather quickly. This is not the case here, far from it, 40 to 50 minutes of waiting between each dish of the menu which counted 4. Obviously this gave the guests time to talk to each other and have a good laugh (or a grumble about the adventures of the atypical restaurateur. The food was of fairly good quality but far from a starred restaurant, obviously. In short, a memorable moment if you have the time to take the time. Not recommended to go with small children. Don't be surprised by the sometimes asymptomatic attitude of the restaurant owner, he didn't drink, he's just like that... Special . We finished our adventure at 24:00 ; 12PM
It was my birthday and we had booked a table for 7.30pm. We were shown to our table on the terrace and were the only people there. Before taking our order for drinks or anything he chatted to us for half an hour about Nelson before another french couple arrived. He then transferred his attentions onto them for the next hour. Meanwhile we sat there with not even a carafe of water, bread, or anything. Finally water was put on our table around 9pm and he took our order. We received a cold gazpacho tasteless soup around 9.30, and our starter of foie gras (which was nice) around 10pm. 99% of the time he was still sat down talking to the couple on the other table. They were obviously unhappy about this but being polite, the woman being mostly silent while he was there, but as soon as he went the couple spoke in hushed tones with incredulous looks on their faces. Finally around 10.45 we received our main course. As this was the only hot cooked part of the whole meal we were looking forward to it. However both my duck and my husband's agneau were very overdone. The duck was tough and dry, the potatoes tough and dry, bullet hard carrots, and very little of the cèpes sauce. It was a struggle to eat it. Now at 11.15 we were so drained from the whole uncomfortable and weird experience that we decided to skip dessert and get our chèque book out to pay. He dragged himself away from the other poor couple's table, did produce our bill, seemed marginally bothered that we weren't staying for dessert but clearly conversation with our poor neighbours was more important. He didn't once ask us how our food was, whether we enjoyed it or needed anything. We wrote the cheque and made our escape through the garden gate. We were horrified that this sole propriétaire/chef/waiter could think that this behaviour was in any way acceptable. A weird experience. One to avoid.

Authentic! the same for reception and atmosphere. a house kitchen. That's it. It's like home! perfect to take his time and spend half of his afternoon at the table and relax! It's not a gastronomic restaurant, but authentic, it's not to titulate me, I say. 5 stars and a blink of eye, sir. Thank you very much for this beautiful moment.
A very good meal in a beautiful setting. service is a little long, but waiting seems short so we are of course this terrace facing the blind. quality cuisine with good products. a smiling and pleasant reception. everything to please if you want to enjoy a good calm meal. I highly recommend.
