The staff are well respectful and timely, the food is quite good (in my opinion, as I have tried lots of restaurants in pol chowk- I am never disappointed when I come), they have gluten free options (delicious buckwheat momo), and lovely views. The ambiance of the place was undeniably superb, creating a delightful atmosphere for a dinner setting. The restaurant itself was impressively well-organized, adding to the overall positive first impression. Unfortunately, the culinary journey took a downturn as the food failed to meet the standard set by Alice durbarmarg. The flavors lacked the expected punch, leaving me somewhat underwhelmed. It was a surprising deviation from the usual quality associated with the Alice. The service, however, was the most disappointing aspect of the evening. Our initial order was overlooked by the waiter, necessitating a re-order and an extended wait for our meals. Moreover, it was disheartening to witness special treatment being accorded to a reserved table. They not only ordered their food later but also received it promptly, creating a stark contrast to our experience. To add to the frustration, obtaining the bill became a cumbersome task, requiring three separate requests. In conclusion, while Alice Lalitpur boasts an enchanting ambiance and a well-organized setup, the culinary and service aspects fell short of expectations.
