This is my new favorite ramen place in South San Jose. Generous portion and it tasted great!!
First off, they serve absolutely fire takoyaki. the chewy chunks of octopus and golden crispy outside paired with the sauce it was heaven that hit the spot. unfortunately, I can’t say the same about the ramen. we ordered the shoyu and tonkotsu ramen. it was pretty underwhelming, as the shoyu ramen tasted like watery soy sauce, and the pork in there was pure fat (was that on purpose..? . the tonkotsu broth was a lot richer but the meat wasn’t chashu. that was really disappointing because I craved that when I went to get ramen. overall, I rate the takoyaki 5 stars, shoyu ramen 2 stars. and tonkotsu 3 stars. I don’t think I’ll come again, because for it’s decently high price you can get better ramen.
Dinner! Wait time was 15 mins considering it was packed and there were 5 of us. So not too bad Atmosphere was nice and gave this cool earthy feel. A little dark but that gave it it’s vibe. I had the tonkotsu and the people with me got the other types of ramen. Overall it was a great balance of broth noodle and pork. Pork was fatty but very meaty. The fat gave it great flavor. The egg was properly cooked. The noodles had great texture and they were filling. Sizes for the price were worth it. Staff and service was superb. It would be nice if they expanded the resto a little. Maybe if they can get the next door vacant shop, they can double their capacity. 5/5 for me! Also this will be my go to in South San Jose. My usual go to’s are in Santa Clara and Sunnyvale. Way too far.
Great Ramen place. Got the Miso and tonkotsu ramen would reccomend!
A fairly small restaurant with good food. We usually go to a place in Santa Clara for ramen but this is closer so we tried it. I would say the food is good overall, but we only had the tonkatsu ramen. The broth was tasty, noodles were good. The pork was a little fattier than what we are used to. There was no egg in the ramen so we had to order separately. The only somewhat negative is that the broth was a bit oilier than our favorite place, but that could be due to the fatty pork though. With fat comes flavor so there is a bit of tradeoff. We think it's good that we will definitely go again. Friendly staff and great service
