This was our first Here and we will be coming back again. The only knock that I would have for this restaurant is they don't have much vegetarian options and lunch was kind of pricy. The server was not as attentive as I would like. With that said, the quality of the food was phenomenal and our server was very helpful and cute, which helps. Overall, you must at least try this place once. View all feedback.
I come here after reading all the reviews. I was skeptical about it but the foods were actually amazing. I can’t stop munching on the chicken feet. The shaking beefy was so tasty and the beef melted in my mouth!! Nothing taste like frozen food that just get recooked.I had my kids with me but they don’t like Vietnamese food as much, however phuong the owner went out of her way and make them fries and nuggets from the chicken wings. All the server were so nice, hence they made me feel obligated to share my experience here on Google for everyone to know this good restaurant. The foods , the people and the atmosphere were amazing!!!Dietary restrictions: They will go the extra miles for you and your family. Phuong the owner will make sure you have the best experience with Phuong Nam restaurant.Kid-friendliness: The server is supper nice and kids friendly

Everything we ordered here (as recommended by the server) was so good, but I have to especially mention the Thai fried rice. This dish was delicious! Followed by the asparagus crabmeat soup and the Shaking Beef dish. It was late and we were hungry so I forgot to take photos of the food. We also enjoyed the Vietnamese music playlist. We hadn't really listened to Vietnamese pop music before but we quite enjoyed listening to it and watching the music videos on the big TV on the wall behind the counter.
In Phuong Nam's quaint abode, a culinary tale unfurled,Where flavors danced, and stories told, amidst a cultured world.Yet with a heavy heart, I share my dining rendezvous,For though it promised much allure, it failed to truly woo.The prices soared like kites on high, reaching for the sky,While portions, alas, played a meager role, a whispered lullaby. Each plate adorned with artistry, a feast for eager eyes,But hunger lingered, unsatisfied, beneath those dainty lies.A menu bloomed with treasures rare, a treasure trove of delight,Dishes unseen in San Jose's grasp, a tempting, foreign sight. But as I delved into each bite, disappointment filled my core,For flavor's song fell flat, my palate craving something more. Thus, my dear friend, with caution's plea, I hesitate to endorse,Phuong Nam's intriguing facade, a tale of missed discourse.Though interesting in its own right, a venture to explore,I cannot, in good faith, recommend a journey through its door.
Wow wow wow! I brought my coworkers from Boston who were looking for some authentic Vietnamese food. We walked in not really knowing what to expect. Soon as the waitress saw us she ran over and sat us down. I didn't know what to expect or order but my coworker was already on it. He ordered all the food for the table and was explaining each dish to us. He and the waitress had great conversations and she recommended some amazing dishes. I have to say this was one of the best experiences I have had at a restaurant in a long time. Every dish comes out fresh and delicious. The staff here gets a gold star! They are fast and very friendly. If you are looking for some good food and great service this is it.
