Hubby and I had appetizers at Willows last weekend. We had previously enjoyed the seared carpaccio, but this time the plate was wet, the cucumbers were limp, no edible flowers, and at the end the meat turned gray! Very disappointed. We also had ahi tartare which was decent, but the dish made it difficult to scoop out the ahi without spilling the sauce. And the crab cakes were just ok this time. We eat at Willows almo... The Willows was fantastic! Two of us went on a Tuesday night for my birthday. Our reservation was for 6 pm. We ate outside (highly recommended). It is heated, but not needed that night. We were seated at the best table. Close to the fireplace and next to the edge, which made it very private and quiet. You are surrounded by trees and greenery, so there is no traffic, pedestrian or vehicles to be seen. I had the filet, medium well, which was delicious and cooked to perfection, but not as good as our chef at home. It wasn't melt in your mouth, cut with a fork. Delicious none the less and I would order it again. My husband had the jidori chicken. It was delicious and tender and moist and well seasoned. Chris is the best server we have ever had anywhere. He is extremely professional, friendly, fun and courteous. I could go on, but you get the picture. I highly recommend eating outside. The area is large so you aren't jammed in with other diners. And ask for Chris. All the staff at Chumash are very friendly and helpful. PS: they have a vegan menu also.
Went to celebrate my nephew's 21st birthday. The service, food, and decor were all outstanding. Made for a memorable meal that he will hopefully always reflect finally on. Thanks to Marco and the rest of the staff!
Wonderful food and fantastic service! Ambiance was very nice and the noise level was good. We could actually carry on a conversation across the table. The food was absolutely delicious and our server was excellent.
I loved my experience at Willow. Our server was amazing! He was so kind, constantly checking in on us and making sure we had everything we needed. I had a spicy mezcal margarita and it was delicious. The filet was perfectly cooked and super tasty. Definitely, returning!
