Portas de Sagres

Here, at the big fishing port of Sagres, the fish is so fresh that it almost floats on its teller. most are displayed in the glass cabinet, but there are more in the kitchen. the kitchen is grilled, simple, no sauces: with chips or boiled spuds or...salad wein at the karaffe, beer at the glass. this is sensational eating so easy that they wonder why they did the michelin last time. it's busy: the personal runs, but every last of them is in good humor, they speak several languages, helpful and professional. my oz restaurant and weinkritic friend came with me and was blown away; ditto a French visitor of this week. we do not talk about fine eating or something close: outdoors and in the interior, Formica table, everything fundamental and useful, all makes the trick. the ambiente is the location and the environment: they will have the un food lovers there. drive them to the end of the harbour, and this unpretentious place is a walk up.

After fighting very strong wind to visit the navigation school of prinz henry, this restaurant was a welcome repentance and the sea bass for two vas ver good...and cold beer

This place was recommended to us so that we gave it to lunch on one of the days we were in Sagres. eating was okay, but the service was really poor. we understand that eating is cooked when they order, but they have. we wait for a long time for everything, including the drinks we ordered.

The restaurant is on the beach, full of foreign tourist also in December, good quality eating, especially fish, staff is very friendly, which is out sight fabulous!
