Italia Cucina Familiare - Saginaw

Had some pizza there this year, and it was excellent. I went back last weekend and today, but they weren't open, although signage stated otherwise. I met the owner before, and he was very friendly and the staff. Not sure whether it is due to personnel problems, but it could be helpful to keep up-to-date online hours / presence. I'd like them to stay in business.

Went here for the first time last night and the food was delicious! The only reason I?m not giving a 5 star review is because of the server. She was not busy upon our arrival. Only had 3 tables and one was clearly already done and cashed out. Told her that we have a party of 6. She was like.. ?well my big table is taken, you guys can push some tables together, if you want? then she just walked away and started doing something else. I asked her, ?you?re not going to put them together for us??. She had no interest in doing so. It took almost 10 minutes just to get our drinks? as I said, she wasn?t busy. Food took maybe 30 minutes to come out but at least it was hot. We were in such a hurry though and couldn?t even enjoy our food. I heard so many good things about this place but I was truly disappointed in the service we received.

The Alfredo is soooo good?. Just drove from Essexville upon recommendation from family that lives near by. Was not disappointed!!! I was unsure why, but we were literally the only table the entire time we had dinner. I hope people realize how good this place is before we lose another family restaurant ??. ???

Peaceful environment. Great service. Tasty food. Big serving sizes. Loved the decor. Priced reasonably. Overall enjoyed ourselves. We will revisit to try other menu items ?

Wow!! During a long return trip home north with my husband, we started Googling for Italian restaurants. This caught our interest and, being adventurous sorts, we decided to take the out of the way drive to try them. Omg!! We are SO happy we did! First, understand Google map directions sucks. Look for the Gratiot Place, plaza type sign. They are located in a strip mall. But the food! SO fresh and well made! The service was exemplary! Nico was at the top of his serving game, was upbeat and we thoroughly enjoyed him. Chris, the cook, really presented the food well and is enjoyable to talk to. The menu isn 't very extensive but it definitely had the more unique dishes. If you 're an adventurous sort, you 'll enjoy it but if you 're a traditional restaurant food menu sort, it might seem a little crazy for you. They are currently allowing dine in, along with take out and curbside. Do yourself a favor and give this place a try!
