The food was good, but not as authentic as I had hoped. The portion sizes were also generous. I enjoy spicy food, but unfortunately they did not have any spicy options. I had to add my own spice. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Vallejo's:
"I ordered the chicken taquitos, but they were old and the chicken was just rolling out of the tortilla. The rice had no taste, but the beans were good and the salsa was too. The bartender needs help making margaritas, they were terrible. It seems like the customers were satisfied, but they don't seem to know what good Hispanic cuisine is.".
I order a asada burrito and chicken taco. The crispy taco is I rarely see crispy like this. Then the burrito was all steak and Pico. Ima go again it's worth it and old school vibe worth easy parking.
They didn’t have any openings until Weds but we lucked out as they allowed us to slip in on a no-show’s reservation. Food was delicious and our waitstaff was delightful
Truly Great Mexican Food (with a healthy side of customer service I went looking for some Mexican food while staying nearby and was pleasantly surprised by the food AND service at this restaurant! The place was clean, the staff were very attentive, and the food was truly great! The portions were served on platters and I almost couldn 't finish my dinner. (I said, 'Almost ' Definitely worth a stop if you are heading through Sacramento on Interstate 5 (I-5 . The location is merely 10 minutes off the freeway exit.
It is comforting, able to go to a restaurant that is a neighborhood favorite. You're sure to run into friends. The interior is somewhat strange and they always had a large terrace. The service is friendly, but more than that. It's important. I have a food restriction and they not only accepted me, but the winter wanted to be sure that I was well fed and satisfied with my dish. It creates a relaxed atmosphere that is like home. BTW, you can speak English or Spanish there.
We had lunch as a family here and it was great. I got the lunch special with two quesadillas, she got the avocado salad and the kids had the mini quesadillas. Thank you.
