Their products are fresh, store is very clean, and prices are decent. Service isn’t exactly the friendliest. It typically ranges from fair to borderline douchey depending on who you get at the counter. But if you know what you want then you can usually hustle in and out without any issues. I looooove me some raw oysters! But my goodness, they are expensive when dining out in restaurants. One day, my partner was scouring the internet trying to find a deal somewhere and found... SUHN FISH CO!! Discovered just a month ago and so far we've paid a total of 3 visits! Be prepared to shuck to your heart's content, but I don't mind at all because I can eat a dozen all to myself for a whopping price of $18.95/dozen. It doesn't get any better than that folks. Making your own mignonette sauce is easy all you need is rice vinegar, a little bit of water to dilute the acidity, sugar, black pepper, some lemon juice, and dice red onion. I don't measure and just taste as I go and add ingredients accordingly.
The best fresh fish market in the Sacramento area. Very clean and spacious. The fish is fresh and reasonably priced. Get there early if you want a good selection.
