I received a strong recommendation to visit this restaurant from a coworker in Sacramento who truly understands quality food! For our appetizer, we tried the Sourdough Cheese Loaf, and it was incredibly delicious and packed with cheesy goodness! We all ordered the Rio Burger cooked medium rare; I topped mine with bacon while my coworkers chose mushrooms. The burgers were generously sized and overflowing with juicy fl... View all feedback.
What Melody P doesn't like about Rio City Cafe:
Terrible banquet service! After all these years, one would think they would have it figured out. With 45 people in a banquet room and food pre-ordered, you would expect everyone to enjoy their meal without issues... View all feedback.
We came in for breakfast about 10:30 on a Saturday without reservations and the ladies up front were able to kindly sit us out on the patio. Such a nice warm day to enjoy the breeze of the river and excitement. My spouse ordered the tuna salad and I ordered the huevos rancheros. The ahi tuna salad was delicious I got to taste it, but the whoever's rancheros definitely needed a spicy kick. The bacon was a nice touch. My only complaint was the waitress would ask us numerous times for the same thing while we waited. Almost like she had dementia at 30. Great presentation of food and service was overall friendly and helpful.
Awesome service, great food and scenic location. You can sit out back on the patio and have an amazing view of the Sacramento river and the Tower Bridge. Food is delicious and service was great. Really nice staff. Come here to enjoy a good time in Sacramento.
My recent visit to Rio City Cafe was delightful. We sat outside and enjoyed dinner by the river. It was open and airy and the food was delicious. I ordered the Red Crab and Shrimp Louie Salad and it was loaded with shrimp and crab. The Louis-style dressing was quite delicious, and the avocados were a great topping! The service was friendly and attentive. We will return again!
Excellent food and service in a nice cozy setting by the river with a view of Tower Bridge. Went there twice, for both brunch and dinner. The price is on the side but the service and quality of good was worth it. Kids friendly place. Plenty of parking in the public garage or street nearby in Old Sacramento.
Loved it here would come back again. We ate on the patio on Nov. 28 they keep it warm out there, and the views are great! Nice little date spot. Service was splendid and the food was good. Four stars because it is a smidge pricey, but not abhorrent. Recommend!
