I drove by Pennisi's the other day and remembered I used to get a 3 pasta salad sampler plate from this place like almost 10+ years ago. I thought I'd come in and check to see if they still had something similar to that. Surprisingly, everything still looked the same and they still have the 3 pasta salads I chose long ago. A small sandwich shop with lots of choices. Many of my choices were sold out, hence the 4 star review. I heard the chicken breast sandwich was delicious but it was sold out. I ordered the turkey avocado sandwich on sourdough (Dutch crunch was sold out). FULL of fresh sliced deli turkey, avocado slices, lettuce and tomato. Delicious!
Great family-owned deli. The sandwiches are big and tasty.
Great spot for breakfast or coffee! The Ham, Egg and Cheese croissant was one of the best breakfast sandwiches I have ever had. Also, the mocha latte was made with care and was excellent. Pennisi's will be a regular stop for me whenever I visit Sacramento.
The tomato bisque soup was delicious. Everyone was very pleasant.
The restaurant is clean with friendly service, and the bagels are fresh and tasty.
