I finally got the chance to try this place! I’ve been meaning to for awhile. It’s a great place! My friend and I came and shared the pepper fin tuna along with three rolls. The pepper fin was very good and came with tempura jalapeños, which was a nice compliment. The three rolls ranked from my most to least favorite (but all were good): Tunagi, Rainbow Roll, Happy Tuna Roll. View all feedback.
What Cameron Brownfield doesn't like about Koi Japanese Bistro:
Pretty good. Would go again, decently priced for portions and quality. The sushi tasted fresh. I've had better karage, but it was crunchy on the outside and juicy and tender on the inside. View all feedback.

If you folks want excellent service, sushi, and sashimi, Koi Japanese Bistro is your place to go!
Excellent food and service. However, conversation was very difficult due to the sound level of their music.
Alright, so I gotta spill the tea about Koi Japanese Bistro in Sac-town! Let me tell you, their Sashimi and Scallop Rolls are like an absolute mood for your taste buds. First up, the Sashimi – it's basically a slice of pure zen from the ocean. It's so fresh, it's like a vacation for your mouth. And those Scallop Rolls? Total game-changer! The scallops are like little bites of heaven, and the whole roll situation is a legit party in your mouth. Now, I'm not gonna lie, Sacramento might not be San Diego, but hey, at least they’ve got Koi dishing out some seriously bomb Japanese eats. So while we're not catching waves, we're catching feelings for these rolls. Major props to Koi for bringing that tasty Tokyo vibe to our Cali scene!
Some of the rolls are great and others are pretty boring.
