Excellent meat, crispy chips and great atmosphere and service. Home made food and child friendly. Strongly recommend.

We didn’t expect too much and were positively surprised. We always start with bread, olives and goats cheese, and this cheese was outstanding! Also the veal chops with matured meat was cooked to order and really great. We also tried the pork belly which was good, but not exceptional, same for the chips.

Do not recommend unless you don't mind spending a lot of money Food: 7.3 Service: 8 Atmosphere: 8 Price: 4/5 I come to Sabugal once or twice a year and by coincidence I always end up having lunch here. The place is fine, rustic looking and comfy, and the waiter is very kind, but the price/quality ratio is not very good. A simple grilled chicken and fries, for example, is 16€ for one person, and it's not comparable to the chicken you get in take-out style places. Although I payed 36€, we ate a grilled chicken for two, with the fries, a salad, and entrées. Again, the chicken was so small, not a lot of meat. For comparison, I pay about 8€ where I live for about the same quantity, quality of food, with coffee and soup included. For the average Portuguese person who tends to judge the enjoyment of the meal more by the quantity than the quality, this restaurant leaves a bit to be desired, and even in terms of quality, the meal was just about fine, nothing wrong, but nothing extraordinary either. Where I give a lot of praise though is the salad, which was actually very tasty, varied in ingredients, and bigger than the usual in Portugal.

[PT] O cabrito, o queijo, e o chouriço são excelentes e cozinhados de forma tradicional. Atmosfera e staff simpático. Vale muito a pena vir a este restaurante e visitar o Sabugal! Certamente voltaremos! [EN] Amazing goat, cheese, and chorizo cooked in a traditional way. Friendly staff and cosy atmosphere.The village and this restaurant in particular are definitely worth the visit! A most go of you're visiting the region.

Morcela and Costeleta were good. The service was subpar, with untrained waiters. Water and wine did not come to table before the starters and the mousse chocolate was terrible. Waiters were not nice.
