Waren das erste und auch letzte Mal hier. Bedienung war unflexibel, unaufmerksam und leider auch nicht sehr freundlich. Die Hauptspeisen waren ok, aber nicht dem Preis entsprechend. Zur Begrüßung gab es einen kleinen Antipastiteller mit Oliven und Peperoni sowie Brot aufs Haus. Leider hat uns bereits dies nicht überzeugt. Historical place, good looking interior and rated among the best in Saarlouis on every website you look. Now the food is good. It is Italian, but not pure Italian, there are some German French influences there. It's not bad. The personnel is friendly, that's...not the problem, but it is like their fame dictates a certain attitude, a having to act like a bad French waiter. The use of French words, mixed in with the German. It could be very good, but somehow it feels wrong.
Good quality food seems more appealing to the German palate, i can't call this the best Italian restaurant abroad like someone else did... good German-Italian kitchen yes.
We've been back in the marshal Ney for a long time and have not been disappointed. Very good food and very friendly staff. We like to come back:
I ordered the gourmet menu for 65 euros for 5 courses. The price was reasonable. A small antipasti plate was the starter. I had to order bread with it. Then filled dumplings very good. A small sorbet was served as a stopover, the purpose of which I don't understand. The main course was lamb ribs: very little meat (I estimate the usable amount at 50 grams), beans that were far too soft, and fried potatoes that weren't crispy. Dessert: a very good parfait. The same blunt cutlery had to be used for all courses, despite the appetizer featuring prawns. That's primitive. Please replace your doormat. It probably dates back to the interior design period – circa 1970s. The wines were very good. An excellent singer provided musical entertainment. However, it was far too loud for a restaurant.
Nice restaurant with good Italian cuisine.
