I ate with the Jürgen Bohr family today. The food was great. I didn't do the main course of the crowd. Big portions. Very nice service and a very cozy location. LG Greetings from the Fidei (Zemmer) View all feedback.
What Mirjam Brückner doesn't like about Saarburger Hof:
Nice location but food doesn’t meet the standards. Fish soup was completely oversalted, Carpaccio not served as described. Steak was ok, but nothing more. Deer meat of bad quality and slightly overcooked. Long waiting time to order coffee. Would not return. View all feedback.
With a group of 23 senior, we had reserved lunch, and can say , we where happy with the choice of menu they proposed, and the service was friendly too
Saarbourg beautiful choice! Nice place nice view! 這裡有很美的景色!! 老闆 和 服務人員都非常的熱心! 我們在這裡渡過非常開心的假期! 非常值得一遊!推薦大家一定要一起來!
My son and I were staying at the Hotel, and decided to have dinner here after a long day exploring.First, the service: Probably the most warm, friendly service we have had anywhere in Europe during our 2 week "mini grand tour. Although her English was a little rusty, she couldn't have been nicer to two Americans with almost no German. What a pleasant surprise. We each had the €40 Regional specialty menu, and it was superb. Started with a chef's gift of carpacchio and fresh melon, which was sublime, as was the basket of brot. The entree (appetizer) was a fantastiche salad with marinated artichoke hearts, white asparagus (local specialty), an incredible piece of salmon, and a garnish of crab meat. Out of this world. For the main course we each had the schnitzel, served with buttered parsley potatoes and more white asparagus. I've had scnitzle at Zum Schwartzen Kameel in Vienna, which is supposed to be the best in Europe, bit the Saarrburger Hof eclipsed it. Truly remarkable.Dessert was a plate with an assortment of treats, including local cheese, vanilla ice cream, a small slice of gingerbread cake with a sumptuous sauce, fresh berries, and a blended fruit parfait. We started the meal with Bittburger bier and had a lovely local wine with the entrees and main courses. Total bill was €105 including service which qualifies as a steal. A truly memorable meal and evening.
This restaurant hotel) has been existing for many many years, but we gave it a try only recently. We were not disappointed : food was really good, staff was absolutely caring and friendly. Of course, it's not the cheapest dinner option in town, but...you can enjoy there a really tasty meal in a cosy ambiance, so why not ? There is a quite big terrace outside, convenient for summer days, if you are not disturbed by the round-about car traffic/noise and exhaust gas. One small minus point in my opinion: not a real choice of dishes for vegetarians.
Upper crust restaurant with white table cloths and silver cuttlery but without being snobby. Food prices a bit higher than other local restaurants, but that was very well reflected in the quality of the food. Superb! As it was asparagus season we had that as...main dish together with veal and veal schnitzel. Perfectly cooked asparagus and great sauce to go with it. Overall highly recommended place if you do not mind paying up a bit more but not over priced at all.
