We were here the second time today. Very nice ambience, very good food and drink; wine was allowed to be tasted. Super nice and attentive service! We like to come back. View all feedback.
What Efren Quigley doesn't like about Hotel Zunftstube:
Because of the positive reviews and good rating we chose for this restaurant. Unfortunately, our experience was not that good. As a first dish we ordered the onion soup. The bread with the melted cheese was delicious. The soup itself was not so tasty. As...a second I ordered some special schnitzel with onions and mushrooms on top of it. Here it went fully wrong; there was no taste in the onions and the mushrooms. Wer... View all feedback.
Bridge Day in Germany. My brother is traveling around Trier with a group from Thursday to Sunday. And if the Düsseldorfer is already close, can you meet for a short time? And Trier is always worth a trip. Our consideration: Dear Friday bridge day after Trier, Saturday the city is definitely full. So get in the car. A good hour later we arrive in Trier and control our car park close to the center but unknown to Touris. Everything is always relaxed here. Not today! Sit. Now on, there are more parking garages. Sit! We're looking and looking... if it wasn't so annoying, I would sing Herbert Grönemeyer's "Mambo": "I've been turning my rounds around here for hours so that the motors drum it in my ears I don't find a parking place..." Finally a parking lot. I want to draw a ticket, max. parking time: 60 minutes walk to the center each approx. 15. min. . We have now, after over an hour of parking search, the faxes thick. The weather is beautiful, we don't drive home. The decision is based on the tranquil medieval town of Saarburg with about 7,000 inhabitants. Also a popular destination for excursions is on my brother's program today. We find one, even free parking for a bit. A Whatsapp to brother: “Sind in Saarburg.” Short time later: “We are sitting in the Zunftstube”. I'm stubborn: I just read the name?! I turn around, we're 5 meters away from the restaurant, my brother wasn't stunting badly. He thought we had the "Beam app" nice. We don't want to disturb the group. Since there are several people, they had been reserved for the interior. It is very well maintained and cozy with a lot of dark wood. The toilets absolutely clean and well maintained. We still find a nice place on the outside of the house. Our table is beautifully covered with fabric table cloth, wind light and alpine wedges. The sunny places opposite, in the waterfall of the Leuk in the middle of the center, are unfortunately all occupied. This small but dead waterfall is one of the attractions of the town. Beautiful! We are kindly greeted, get the cards handed. A very attentive and commemorative young man is supported by two colleagues. The team has all the hands to do and does a good job. The drinks are interrogated and the young man informs that it would take some time. The capacity of the kitchen in the historic department store is limited. The boss is in the kitchen. Everything is freshly prepared, convenience products do not come to the table. We'd like to wait. We order 1 dry wine choir, 0.25 l, to € 3.50 1 dry white elbling, 0.25 l to € 4.40 starters: For my husband: 3 giant cloves on a salad bed at Balsamico-Vinaigrette to € 7,90 For me: Antipasti – Mediterranean treats € 9,90 I had caught a look at the plate at the side table before ordering. We get fresh baguette in advance and the waiting time for the appetizers does not feel too long at all. We have cool drinks a comfortable place and can observe the hustle and bustle of the burglar. The 3 shrimps juicy fried, with olive oil and finely seasoned. The salad dressing slightly small and very dry, the Vinaigrette would have been felt. Also a bowl with the lukewarm vegetables. Appetizer: Shrimp with salad bouquet The antipasti are beautifully dressed on a glass plate: tomato mozzarella, unfortunately without basil, 2 parmesan pieces, 1 small bowl with Mediterranean, lukewarm vegetables, air-dried salami, piquant peperoni, fried zucchini, aubergine and paprika, all still beautifully crisp and olives. It's a nice, colorful plate. Appetizer: Antipasti We are satisfied. Main dishes: My husband chooses the pizza Salami-Funghi to € 7.50 and I choose the Leukbach salad with fishing of the season to € 14.90. We had to wait a little longer for the main foods, but we didn't disturb each other. The pizza is steamed from the kitchen. The coating with fresh mushrooms and also the extra garlic was thought of in the kitchen – despite hectic. The dough outside crispy, throws beautiful bubbles, nothing is burned. Good pizza. The bread basket is refilled to my salad plate. Unfortunately, this is falling off. The salad dry, maybe the dressing in the kitchen went to the neige. And I'm not a friend of mine to drink food. The fish fillets would have been able to get out of the pan a little earlier. It might have been different at a quieter time. I missed the right “Pfiff” here, but it was okay. 2 espresso € 2.20 to finish. A wink is sufficient for the number. Thanks for our visit and wish for a wonderful day. The boss also comes out of the kitchen for a short time. My brother and his accompaniment now have 1 hour “free” in Saarburg. Everything fits and we're going to stroll a round through the fine and interesting little town up to the castle and back. I can only recommend a visit to Saarburg and the Zunftscheune with her fresh kitchen despite small weaknesses too.
Very good food, good choice, vegetarian dishes, I had the Tofu schnitzel and it was yum! Very nice staff. Worth the money
We entered in the restaurant minutes before the due hour and we were told that they didn't serve anymore. The cooker was very rude and we were forced to leave
I searched Tripadvisor for a good place to eat. We where not disappointed. A very friendly waitress and friendly cook created a lovely meal with antipasti up front and Schnitzels and Flammenkuchen as the main course. Even the deserts where delicious. Keep up the good...work
The day before our trip to Saarburg we were strolling thru TripAdvisor reviews in search of a decent place to have a lunchifwewillwakeupearlyenough or a dinnerifwesleepthruallthealarms and have unanimously decided to give this place a try. Ah, what an excellent choice it turned out to...be! Eventually it gone the dinner way and we took a table alongside the waterfall. The view was great, the staff was friendly and the food was yummi. The onion soup was excellent example of a creamed variety , the schnitzel was pretty tasty, the beef in pfeffersauce was delicious. Sampled some riesling as well. Highly recommend
