In my opinion,... read more We visited the bistro before our flight from Saarbrücken. We bought two baguette sandwiches and drinks (hot and cold). The coffee was very tasty. In my opinion, the price-performance ratio wasn't good. You'd certainly expect higher prices than in a supermarket or even a restaurant, but I at least expect taste and quality. I personally didn't like the baguette roll at all (with ham), so I almost left it alone. The other one, with salami and cheese on a seeded roll, was edible and okay. Otherwise, there's a decent selection of accessories, newspapers, and other things you might want to buy before departure or after arrival (assuming the bistro is still open). The service staff was not particularly friendly or even poor, so I'd rate it neutral. Since you don't really have a choice at Saarbrücken Airport regarding the on-site offerings, you either use them or you don't. I probably won't make that choice in the future and will look elsewhere for my supplies.
