Steak 'n Shake - S St, Mount Vernon

It was just what you would expect from a fast food restaurant.

Upon arrival there was a couple standing in front of the counter seemed to be awaiting service, then switched to the credit kiosk to order ..(the other kiosk was down) they was having trouble placing an order on it so they decided to try to get help from one of the three people being behind the counter with no luck they walked away.After noticing everything, I hesitantly ordered for me and my whole family, again needing assistance and was ignored upon asking. Patently waiting a female finally looked back when I asked again if they could just take cash and was extremely rude with one word...NO!! I was shocked to hear so so I asked again..and then she said well, yeah but it 'll be a while..With people waiting behind me I quickly finish my order to hurry up and carry on as there was a family awaiting the kiosk because it was the only option. Upon receiving the food it was nothing but seriousl disappointment.I after trying to sit through it with my kids walked up and asked who the manger was and a woman replied with me in a shout and walked away.Seriously was just terrible, I wouldn 't recommend going there at all.

Been sitting in the drive through for almost 20 mins. Got only 2 meals and the order behind got more than we did and they had to come get our receipt because they did not remember our order. Will not be coming here again unless it's for shakes. Terrible service.

Driving thru on way to Springfield the burger n fries excellent. Lady very cordial also!!

This Steak n Shake was automated. There was no personal attention, only 3 team members on site. The food was not the same.
